SO, if you start with Diana Comet's Periodic Table of Women in Science Fiction (PDF) from Sandra McDonald's blog. And then you list them out in no particular order, so you have 117 women that are considered important in the SF field.

NOW, bold the ones you own books of, italicise the women you've read something of (short stories count) and star (*) those you've never heard of.

I didn't rig my answers, I swear. But this is *exactly* what I would want to be, if I lived in the D&D world.

After months of unexplained hiatus, Smallville returns to Channel Nine this Saturday. And they've given it an 8:30 PM timeslot, which should mean the end of all those episodes mutilated by censorship.

Okay, officially behind right now, but I hope to pick up that slack soon. My characters are currently wandering around the Spring Festival, eating strawberry ice and trying not to get sunburned. It's a shame I can't put in the goths and the drag queens.

And because we all love him:

NaNo ID: Meteor.
NaNo since: 2002.
Working title: I think I'll keep this under wraps for now.
WIP Genre: Fantasy.
Projected word count: 50,000 or more.

Have an outline? I have a rough order of events in my head.
Scene-by-scene? Not this time.
Know how it starts? Yes.
Know how it ends? No.
Have your climax in order? Yes.
Know your main characters yet? Most of them.
Have a particular tone in mind? Yes.
Plan to draw on your own experiences? In a weird way, yes.

Funny? Probably not. I suck at comedy.
Serious? Pretty much.
Sad? Yes. I want to break some hearts!
Semi-autobiographical? I wish.
Based on another story? No.
Influenced by any authors/current publications? None that I can pinpoint. But we're all the sum of our influences.

A paper journal? Yes, my trusty notepad.
Pens? Yes.
Multicolored pens? No.
A computer? Yes. Typed up notes are so much easier to read.
Index cards? No. I've never used these for anything.
Lists? No.
Bulleted lists? No.
Plot charts? No.
Character charts? No. Hmm. Am I supposed to have done all these things?
Character formulas? What the hell is a character formula?
Favorite writing resource: The internet. You can find almost anything there.

A line you would like to use: "I don't believe in destiny."
A scene you would like to include: A swordfight by the edge of an abyss at sunset. Yeah, I'm a fan of the melodramatic.
A concept you would like to explore: How great events are shaped by the smallest things.
A character you would like to use: Yven. But there's only room for one dark, brooding antihero in this story, and this time he's not it. Sorry.

Do you expect to be able to complete it? If I keep to my schedule, yes.
Do you intend to complete it? Yes.
Would you ever try to publish it? Mm, I have plans of my own for this. But we'll see how it turns out.
What do you expect to get out of this month of frantic writing? A sense of achievement from having met the challenge this time (I hope). Lots of lovely raw material to shape in the year ahead. And a good time sharing the experience with all the others taking part.
