Dear Trick or Treat Writer,

Thank you so much for offering to write a story for me! I love the characters I've nominated, and I'm keen to see what you come up with! I've requested fanfic for the below canons.

I've provided some prompts in case you're looking for inspiration, but I'd also love to see whatever other ideas capture your imagination. I'm open to tricks or treats, so feel free to interpret my prompts either way.

LIKES FOR THIS EXCHANGE: creepypasta, angst, whump, heroism, adventure, mystery, hijinks, fluff, slice of life.

DISLIKES FOR THIS EXCHANGE: noncon, permanent injuries, gruesome deaths, bleak endings (though ambiguous or bittersweet are fine).

RATING: I'm fine with explicit sex, but it's usually not the most important part of the story for me.

STYLE: I'm fine with first, second, or third person. I'm fine with past or present tense. I'm fine with stories of any length, including stories that start in media res.

POV: I'm open to stories from the point of view of a different character from the ones nominated, especially if they provide an interesting perspective on the nominated characters.

CROSSOVERS: I would prefer no crossovers with other canons.

AUS: I like seeing the characters in their own settings, so I would prefer no alternate universes like high school, coffee shop, or omegaverse. However, I like alternate universes where something happened differently in canon.

I've listed more details under each individual request.

I hope this helps. Have fun writing!

Yours sincerely,

Thank you again to my wonderful Trick or Treat Writers, for your awesome stories:

Cinaed for Desire For a Good Tale
Scribe_of_Mirrormere for First Son of the Forest

This was the first time I signed up for the Trick or Treat exchange, and it was a lovely, low pressure, low stress exchange. I've only ever done Yuletide before, and it was cool to try something different like making gifts themed as tricks or as treats. I'm definitely up for it again next year.

Back home after a fun but tiring weekend away.

The Trick or Treat exchange collection is open! Featuring over 400 stories in over 300 fandoms, either scary or sweet. And I was lucky enough to get two wonderful stories, about my absolute favourite Tolkien character being his awesome self.

Title: Desire For a Good Tale
Fandom: The Silmarillion
Summary: While Túrin is away on sentry-duty, Beleg finds himself drawn into a conversation about ghosts and monsters by Andróg and the other Gaurwaith.

Title: First Son of the Forest
Fandom: The Silmarillion
Summary: It is said it was the elves who cured the Ents of their dumbness, and it was two in particular.

Thank you, Trick or Treat Writers, for your fantastic stories!

Dear Trick or Treat Writer,

Thank you so much for offering to write a story for me! This is my first time doing this exchange, and I'm excited about what tricks or treats it might bring!

The characters I've nominated are my favourites from their canons. I'd love to read either creepy stories or heartwarming stories featuring them.

I'm happy with gen, het or slash.

Likes for this exchange: ghosts, supernatural beings, creepypasta, psychological horror, heroism, moments of relaxation and happiness.

Dislikes for this exchange: noncon, torture, mutilation, disturbing death, unfixable misery.

I like seeing the characters in their own settings, so I would prefer no alternate universes like high school, coffee shop, or omegaverse. However, alternate universes where something happened differently in canon are fine.

I've listed more details under each individual request.

I hope this helps. Have fun writing!
