Day 4

Word count:

Today - 1461
Total - 6683

Still on track, though it hasn't been easy. But unlike other people who are loaded down with commitments, I don't have any excuses for not reaching my word count target.

Oh yeah, I have something to confess - I had an RO dream last night. I dreamed I found a whisper card. I was so excited.

Now I just feel rather sad. Is this really what my subconscious mind fantasises about?

Some theories go that your dreams are your mind sorting out the events and thoughts of the previous day... If you spent it all writing a novel and maybe playing RO, the dreams you have will be related? I know I get gaming dreams when I've been thinking about it too much :P

good luck with the words though!

Thanks.

I know that when I used to play a lot of Tetris, I would go to bed and still see the falling blocks when I closed my eyes.

A RO dream I can understand... but tetris dreams? *backs away slowly*

Well, not actually dreams. You know how images get burned onto computer monitors with prolonged exposure? It's like that - you end up being able to picture Tetris blocks falling in your head, and you can see how to rotate them and slot them into place...

I think I'd better shut up now.

Since I was pretty much born with that particular skill I shouldn't tease you about it :)

*unexpectedly gets flattened by giant falling pentomino*

I can vouch for that. I was so intent over some task I had to do the next day, coupled with a short sleep period and I ended up dreaming successive iterations of my doing the task in different ways.

For a "subconscious", yours is pretty tame compared to mine >

Sounds exhausting! Especially when you wake up and find you still have to do the task that day...
