Just pimping my new show

Maybe you've heard me raving about Life On Mars. And maybe you've been wondering what I'm going on about. Wonder no more! Repeats of Series One begin airing tomorrow night!

Life On Mars Series One
Wednesdays at 9:35 PM on ABC

Episode One intrigued me. Episode Two hooked me. The rest of the episodes blew me away. It's one of the most brilliant dramas of the year. Well, of last year. No, wait, of this year as well.

Good stuff. And it only gets better.

I love this show. I'm watching season 2 on Tuesdays on BBCA america. Is ABC is running the show now?. Great! A chance to rewatch season one!

I heard David Kelly is revamping it for US TV but I think it will be awful.

Oops, sorry, I should have specified - it's the ABC in Australia that's screening those episodes.

I've heard about the remake as well - the idea gives me hives. It's not just that I'm all fannish about the show or that I'm suspicious of US remakes. It's that the show is one of the most brilliantly written and perfectly executed works of television I have seen. Any remake is going to be a step down.

Put me down in the "suspicious of US remakes" column. I've seen far too many abysmal ones. (And just one in the "ok" camp - the US "Touching Evil")

I've watched a fair bit of the US remake of Queer as Folk, which was all right, but then again I've never seen the original UK show so cannot compare.

I think part of the problem is that they insist on remaking the good stuff, when really, they should be remaking the crappy stuff.

More LOM joy here, though undoubtedly for different reasons. ;D

I'm now hanging out for the spinoff Ashes To Ashes, which is screening in the UK in May...

Ooh, yes, I've been hearing mentions of that. Except I haven't read up on it because I'm still avoiding spoilers until I've finished watching Series Two. (Which shouldn't be long now, I expect.)

On the right - that's not Annie, is it? Or maybe that's one of the questions I shouldn't be asking yet...
