I loved the Lord of the Rings movies. Even bought all of the extended version DVDs. My son loved them too and he was influential in making his cousins watch it with him. Even though it's pg13 and he was 8 when he started watching the DVDs 5 years ago we discussed what's going on and what some of the scenes mean. He loves Gandalf (every time we pass a bridge we always do the 'you shall not pass' part) but I have to say he totally adores the villains. While his (girl) cousins pick Legolas/Frodo/Aragorn, he chose Saruman and the Uruk-hais.
So I was excited to watch The Hobbit with him on the big screen. And as usual he totally went bonkers over Azog and the wargs. After watching The Hobbit, he asked to watch the LOTR movies again :)
