Dear Coronation Ceremony Writer,

Thank you so much for offering to write a story for me! I love The Goblin Emperor and its characters, but I was especially excited to see that worldbuilding could be nominated for this exchange. I've provided some prompts in case you're looking for inspiration, but I'd also love to see whatever other ideas capture your imagination.

CHARACTERS: I've requested worldbuilding, but I'm fine with including any canon characters or any original characters you want.

LIKES: In worldbuilding, I like sense of wonder, sweep of history, and ordinary details of everyday life.

DISLIKES: I generally prefer optimistic stories for exchanges, so I'm not keen on anything that is brutally violent or depressingly bleak. However, I don't mind darkness as long as there is a glimmer of light. Bittersweet endings are also fine.

RATING: I'm fine with explicit sex, but it's usually not the most important part of the story for me.

STYLE: I'm fine with first, second, or third person. I'm fine with past or present tense. I'm fine with stories of any length, including stories that start in media res.

CROSSOVERS: I would prefer no crossovers with other canons.

AUS: I like seeing the characters in their own settings, so I would prefer no alternate universes like high school, coffee shop, or omegaverse. However, I like alternate universes where something happened differently in canon.

I hope this helps. Have fun writing!

Yours sincerely,

Request 1: Worldbuilding: Airships - fanfic, podfic

I love airships: they are so damn cool, like something out of another age, and one of the best things in steampunk. What was the first airship like? Who travels on them: couriers, nobility, adventurers? Who owns them, builds them, crews them? Maybe we could see a day in the life of someone who flies all the time, or someone taking a once-in-a-lifetime journey. Maybe we could learn more about the Radiance of Cairado: what did Maia's journey look like through their eyes, or what was life like for them in the past or in the future? I would prefer not to focus on airship crashes, although mentioning them is fine.

Request 2: Worldbuilding: Nohecharei - fanfic, podfic

Sworn guardians who protect the emperor at all times and for life: I love the loyalty aspects of this. And I have so many questions. Do they go to the grave with the emperor they serve, or are there nohecharei who outlive him and go on to serve his successor? Or for the emperor, what is it like when a nohecharis dies for him and is replaced by a new person? Does it ever not work out, on either side? How are they chosen and trained, and do they ever retire? How do their relations change with the soldiers and mazei they used to know?

Request 3: Worldbuilding: Marnis Network in the Courier Fleet - fanfic, podfic

The courier fleet being a haven for marnis people is an intriguing idea. How did this start? What drew them there? What kind of freedoms do they find in their jobs? Do their experiences give them a new perspective on problem solving or judgment calls? Are there differences between the marnis culture inside the courier fleet and outside of it? I would prefer not to focus on sexual harassment or sexual assault, although mentioning it is fine.
