The year in review

My fandom year
This was the year of fandom exchanges. I took part in ShipSwap, Rare Pair Fest, Coronation Ceremony, Trick or Treat, and Yuletide. After so many years of just doing Yuletide with its multiple character matching, it was really cool to try exchanges based on single character matching, relationship matching, and even worldbuilding. Strategic planning of signups from now on!
I wrote eight stories this year:
4 - The Goblin Emperor (Your Own Legacy, A Rock in the Ocean, Say It With Flowers, Heart of the Sword)
2 - Lord of the Rings (Valaraukar, The Last Prince of Cardolan)
1 - X-Men (Conjunction of Suns)
1 - Yuletide fandom (to be revealed)
I also started using Tumblr a bit more, and started a sideblog for Dragon Age: Origins.

2. Did you keep your new year's resolutions, and will you make more for next year?
The first half of the year was kind of a slog. The second half picked up a bit once I started making decisions. I'm starting the new year with hope and optimism.

Absent friends.
34. Who was the best new person you met?
See answer 3.
35. Tell us a valuable life lesson you learned in 2016:
Don't wallow in frustration or dwell on regrets. Figure out what you want that you can do something about, and take action.
36. Quote a song lyric that sums up your year:
All systems go, sun hasn't died
Deep in my bones, straight from inside
I'm waking up, I feel it in my bones
Enough to make my systems blow
Happy New Year! Wishing you all good things in 2017.
