A lively weekend
Mar. 17th, 2004 11:04 pmFriday was
kawak's birthday party. We made crepes, which turned out pretty well,
sentxd screened some episodes of Ayaka's Surprise English Lessons, which were quite entertaining, and
pirochan showed us some trailers, including one for Casshern. Argh! It is now added to the list of unreleased movies I would kill to see (the others being Hero and Howl's Moving Castle).
On Saturday, I went bowling with friends. I think I've improved marginally since high school, but I'm still pretty crappy at it. Still, it was fun. Afterwards, we went for dinner in Newtown and ended up at a gelateria and pizzeria called Ice + Slice. The food was delicious and very reasonably priced too. It struck me as a good place to go chill for an afternoon with friends, like the Mars Hill Cafe.
On Sunday, I had relatives visiting from overseas come over for lunch. Once more with the cooking and cleaning, but it went pretty well and it was good to catch up.
