I have been awake since 1 AM.

I got on a plane at 4 AM.

I should have been home by 8 AM.

Instead, my plane was diverted to Brisbane because Sydney was gripped in a red dust storm like something out of Mad Max.

And while I was scheduled to fly back out, the sky began to grow suspiciously red and hazy around the airport.

I spent the next eight hours there.

I finally made it home - landing in the right city this time - less than an hour ago.

I haven't touched the internet or read a newspaper in ten days. I will catch up with things tomorrow after I have had some sleep.
