I was supposed to post this ages ago, but anyway.
leenabeans, I'm not sure whether to thank you or curse you for getting me hooked on these games. Possibly both. On the one hand, I didn't get much done for an entire month. On the other hand, I was delivering justice for all!
Maybe the first game has trained me well in lateral thinking and wild improbabilities. Becauses I think I'm getting better at working out whodunnit, it's just getting harder to find the evidence to pin it on the culprit. So, plotwise, there was less of the wow factor than the first game, but the characters continue to grow on me.
Miscellaneous notes:
* I missed Edgeworth, but it was quite powerful to have him missing in action for the first three cases, only to reappear in the final one.
* I didn't realise how much I would miss Maya, until she wasn't around for most of the final case.
* Franziska is actually pretty awesome. Despite being an annoying opponent - and what is with that whip? - she has style. And when she had her Big Damn Hero moment in the final case, I cheered.
* Aside: for a while, I was wondering why she seemed so familiar, and then I realised it was because she reminds me of Rukia from Bleach. Proud, arrogant, a little fey, and a lot lacking in social awareness, but with a beating heart deep inside. And they both enjoy calling people fools all the time.
* I know that Franziska and Edgeworth are supposed to be foster siblings (and how cute is it that she calls him her little brother), but when they are in the same scene, the air crackles with tension. Prosecutorial Power Couple of the Courtroom!
* Pearl is adorable. It is so cute how she ships Nick/Maya. (Unlike, apparently, the rest of the internet.)
