Jacarandas

meteordustIt's jacaranda season. The thing I love about jacarandas is how, the rest of the year, they just blend into the background, like any other tree. But then in spring, they burst into bloom, and it's splashes of purple everywhere you look.
I always associate it with the end of exams and the start of holidays. It was on this day that I finished my last HSC exam, literally half a lifetime ago. It's kind of scary to think about the time that's passed since then, but I wouldn't want to trade the things I've done and the friends I've made.
Summer is coming.
