YES IT IS YULETIDE

I had a great Christmas with family, although outside it was bucketing down like I can't remember the last time when. But inside, there was food and presents and other good things.

And this morning, I got to check out the Yuletide 2012 archive at last!

Where waiting for me was a lovely gift for one of my favourite new books, which reads just like an epilogue to the novel (if Georgette Heyer wrote slash):

Yay, I'm so glad you liked it! I was freaking out at my beta as you have written me such lovely treats in the past, and I was so anxious to write you something you'd like in return. And I remember writing to her, "especially as I'm hoping that Serenade will write me some MOAR awesome Seafort fic" - AND YOU DID! I squeaked with happiness, A LOT. Everything you write for them is basically canon for me, and I have re-read it like a million times already. Thank you SO MUCH for the lovely & unexpected (and very gratefully received!) fic!!!

I loved it, thank you so much! It was so exciting to get a Seafort story just for me, and it was perfect. Just so much fun, and yay for finding that happy moment in the books to build off. (And Vax is very much Nick's shield...)

So many great lines. I forgot to mention how I especially loved the line about the middies looking like damp kittens (so adorable!), and how Vax is too muscular to be a kitten (but maybe he looks like some kind of big cat instead?).

As for more Seafort fic, we'll see... XD
