Had a long, exhausting, but not altogether unpleasant day. It was hell on productivity though.

One of the things I did was to see Kill Bill. As is to be expected from Tarantino, very violent - perhaps excessively so - but also possessed of some very cool and very dramatic moments.

Ah, they were a bit over the top for me. I grew up on the old school style of martial arts movies, where the emphasis is more on the fighting techniques as opposed to the blood and gore. (And I know at one point I was thinking, "Man, someone loses that much arterial blood, no way she's still alive, let alone crawling around on the floor.") But anyway, I'll still be checking out the second volume when it comes out.

Just saw it myself. The gore was rather disconcerting to me as well (I had trouble watching the *trailers* before the movie too, what a wimp I am) but you have to admit it was done with style.

I so want to get my hands on the music that played through the first half of the Bride/O-ren fight, that piece gave me goosebumps :)

And yeah, I'll watch the second one too. Can't leave this only half finished!

Oh yeah, the music was great. I loved the piece they played when O-ren and the Crazy 88 were walking into the restaurant. Very, very cool.
