YES IT IS YULETIDE
Dec. 26th, 2012 12:43 pmI had a great Christmas with family, although outside it was bucketing down like I can't remember the last time when. But inside, there was food and presents and other good things.
And this morning, I got to check out the Yuletide 2012 archive at last!
Where waiting for me was a lovely gift for one of my favourite new books, which reads just like an epilogue to the novel (if Georgette Heyer wrote slash):
Title: The Captain and Mr. Dash
Fandom: The Foundling - Georgette Heyer
Rating: Explicit
Summary: The Most Noble Adolphus Gillespie Vernon Ware, Duke of Sale, visits his cousin, Captain Gideon Ware. The two catch up and find the answer to a question that has recently been on Gilly’s mind. Gilly/Gideon (Gidolphus).
And I was lucky enough to receive a bonus treat as well, for one of my favourite classic series, which feels like a missing scene that should have happened (yay slashy hijinks!):
Title: with the shield (or upon it)
Fandom: Seafort Saga - David Feintuch
Rating: General Audiences
Summary: In an instant I grasped the situation. Piles of water balloons lay about. The middies and cadets, wet uniforms sticking to their limbs, carried armfuls of missiles as they stalked each other.
Thank you so much, Yuletide Writers!
There's plenty to check out in the rest of the archive too: 2755 stories in 1527 fandoms. It's like Christmas! *throws confetti*
