IT IS DONE.
"And was it worth it, in the end?" you might ask.
This epic quest that I started not long after arriving in Fallen London, years ago, and poured so much time and resource into. Did the conclusion live up to expectations?
Yes. Yes, it did. The finale was dramatic, and meaningful, and beautifully written. Confrontation, and answers, and vengeance enough to turn anyone away from vengeance forever, and the choice of mercy, and the promise of an impossible thing, paid for at a staggering price. (An entire bath full of Hesperidean Cider!)
Meanwhile, you help arrange the candles according to Cups' exact instructions. It is important, says Cups, that the dead do not wake cold.
And finally, finally, a bittersweet reunion that nonetheless offers hope.
"Thank you," they say, and their voice is just as you remembered, filling the hole in your heart that has gaped since they left. Then they smile with embarrassment, and cover themselves more fastidiously before speaking again. "I'm sorry, have we met?"

I don't know how this works now, with my Boneless Consort spouse. Could be awkward. ("You know how I came to Fallen London to avenge my murdered lover? Well, about that...")
It's been such a big gameplay goal for such a long time, I feel a bit like, "What do I do now?"
