Sorrow and joy, joy and sorrow

Last weekend, on RO, we held a ceremony to farewell Lumialle, who had to say goodbye to the game. The farewell took the form of a memorial service, which was held at the monastery to the north east of Prontera. There was a graveyard there, and that was where we gathered. Everyone had the chance to speak about Lumialle and what he meant to them. We also had Lumialle try on all the headgear he had collected during his time on RO, as well as other people's lent for the occasion, and we took lots of screenies. Then we laid Lumialle to rest, amid the flowers and the sunlight. We still miss you.

And then, this weekend just past, Lenor and Cyrus had their RO wedding. It took place at Comodo, on a boat moored off the beach. Most of the guild attended. No dead branches or other disturbances marred the ceremony, unlike the previous RO wedding I attended. Sevenne delivered the vows, which were long and poetic, and the happy couple were married amid showers of special effects. (Someone commented that this made their kid legitimate now. Insert giant sweatdrop here.)
