Treachery and betrayal
Mar. 2nd, 2004 12:41 amRO again.
Remember the siege when addicted took Shin Ravenloft's fort? Remember the wizard Touya, a new recruit who suddenly quit the guild towards the end of the siege?
Well, Touya is apparently now wearing the guild emblem of addicted.
Yes. Touya has joined the guild which took our fort.
What an *interesting* development. As others have noted, this immediately suggests the possibility that he was an infiltrator all along.
If this is true, then he wasn't just being an idiot - instead, he was very, very clever. His actions during the siege certainly caused confusion in our ranks, and joining us would have given him the opportunity to scope out the guild beforehand. And during the siege, he could well have been reporting our every movement back to addicted.
Spies and espionage in RO. Well, well. It certainly adds another dimension to the game. At any rate, screening of future Shin Ravenloft recruits will be more careful.
And as for addicted? If what we suspect is true, then while there is something breathtakingly audacious about what they did, I know that my hunter has an arrow with Touya's name on it.

Date: 2004-03-01 08:43 am (UTC)I am not suprised people are using spies to get a upper hand on guild wars. Some will do anything for victory. Its like real war, who wouldn't use real world tactics to win.
I am also going to assume this is on Loki since i have never heard of your guild.

Date: 2004-03-01 02:06 pm (UTC)Touya was an ass and no one was listening to him anyway. If we didn't get all those disconnections in the emp room, not even Touya could have stopped us from holding the fort.
(Even though he probably would have sponged off our resources >.>)
The funny thing is - addicted didn't last as long as us when they were being sieged >:)
Laaaame.
